Question for athiest or people believe that there is no purpose to life?

I have a question for materialists and the questions of suicide, what do you think about it and under what reasons do you think it is justifable? Ok let me give you an example, what if you had someone who was middle aged who had no family or friends and found his life/her miserable, he had to work two jobs that he hated just to make ends meet. Under materialism there is no purpose for that particular person sisuation or why he is in it or what he is supposed to do in it. Do you think he is justified in blowing his brains out? Nobody is depending on this particular person, he doesn't have family or friends. If you say well he could make some and get a family, do you think that is a legimate reason for that person to keep himself/herself alive? Basically this person is keeping themsleves alive because they want to This person doesn't have there whole life ahead of him, and there is a good chance that if this person gets married they are going to get divorced let alone the stress that comes along with having to raise a family. Thoughts?

"Your question assumes this person finds his life miserable and would continue to be miserable if their life changed. Why would it be? I find it far more likely that they would find someone at that age who would be compatible and easier to get along with than at an younger age. The stresses and rewards of raising a family have been overwhelmingly on the positive side in my experience. You seem a bit pessimistic with regard to life."

"i believe that we are all simply just human, and we have made good and bad choices during our journey through life. Are there things that we truly cannot change?

"My question is more of like, ""Are we just born into circumstance?"" I mean, even though we try to put effort into things, I feel like there are some things that we are just fated to be or do. Even with all the ""successes"" we have in life, it seems that life will just find a way to pull you down again to your original state: a state where you're fated to be forever. Such as the issue of choosing good universities. Only the richest or smartest people in the world can get in. When I mean ""smart"", I mean some people who have inherent intelligence within them that others do not. At the same time, it seems unfair for people to put so much effort into things because they are just not inherently intelligent. It is also unfair because people who are born into rich families can get in easily, usually by bribing. It seems like an endless cycle. Yet, I'm just asking, are there things that we truly cannot change?"
