The hyoid bone is located between the chin and the thyroid cartilage. It is also at the base of the mandible, or lower jawbone. The hyoid bone helps to support the tongue and elevate the larynx when you talk or swallow. Unlike other bones within the skeleton, the hyoid does not feature any major points of articulation with other bones. The hyoid is suspended above the larynx and is anchored by ligaments to bones in the skull.

Bone loss in Space? Math?

I am currently doing a project on bone loss in space and on Mars. So far I am doing good on the project, but I need to involve math. I already said how everything works, but I said it more of in a science way than a math way. Does anyone know any formulas or anything that might help? Thank you. And please don't put that complex of stuff since I am only 13 but I currently am in Geometry and I understand math quickly. Also, please don't say something about don't ask other people to d your project for you because I'm not, I'm just asking for some help since I am already almost done with my project. Some mental illnesses are not real! your opinions?

Some mental illnesses should not even considered illnesses. I believe that it is just a unique individual's personality and to think that people can cure one's different personality is not even feasible to me. People catergorize them as mental because they have different ideas and does not follow their orthodox ideals. Sometimes, i find psychiatry stupid and should not be associated with the medical field. Yes they provide medicine for.these patients, but most of the pills are just temporary because you cant cure someones behaviour with pills! Each person has a unique set of genetic code that makes them behave like that, that is what makes our personality, and just because that someone doenst behave like averagr people we put a label on them.and.declare them.mental and that they have a disease! Yes there are.mental illnesses but the ones we are defining as mentL illnesses like bdd and someone who cleans way too much should not be categorized as mental or has an illness. I think only definite problems like Alzheimers should be diagnosed and treated

Why was the doctor surprised?

"I'm 41 and I recently registered to donate bone marrow because there's a woman in my office that needs it. It's unlikely I'll be a match but still, it doesn't hurt. I had never been to a doctor in my life but I obviously had to go for general blood tests. He also measure my blood pressure, which was 175/100 mmHg. He was alerted and asked if these were my normal values. I told him I couldn't tell because it was the first time I was measuring it. He seemed surprised. I mean, why is that? I've noticed there are people even younger than me that abuse healthcare."
