"So during vasoconstriction, your vessels constrict, and blood flow to the area is decreased, and blood pressure increases. i am confused. wouldn't blood flow increase if pressure increases? wouldn't the increased pressure be pushing the blood through the veins faster? When you're bleeding, it makes sense for blood flow to be decreased so that you're not loosing so much. so I guess when I imagine a person bleeding REALLY bad, their heart rate is slowing down to lower the flow to that area, skin is pale, and **i would imagine** that their blood pressure is dangerously low??? also, i'm kind of confused by the effects of epinephrine - causes vasoconstriction - yet that increases the heart rate and wouldnt it increase bp? also someone who is working out hard - i understand that their skin is red because of increased blood flow to deliver nutrients to the organs at work, heart is working hard, vessels are dilated = so would their blood pressure be high???again i just cant shake this idea that high blood flow = higher pressure. Can someone please explain this to me? Thanks for your time"

"There is also another factor which controls the blood flow rate, and it is the resistance of the blood vessels to blood flow. "
