How to preserve blood as a liquid?

i want to put blood in a teeny vial with a cork lid for a necklace pendant. would i just mix it with alchohol? and will the cork absorb it?

Alcohol will do nothing. The only way to keep it liquid is to add heparin or a chemical like EDTA that is used by the lab to stop blood cells from clotting. Formaldehyde will preserve it but it will turn brown. Left to its own devices, whether you add alcohol (which evaporates rapidly) or water, it will decompose and begin to smell. My suggestion is to let it dry in the tube before you cork it.
