Nvivo.
Nvivo has the tools to solve all the qualitative data, technical assistance required by all these methods. Studying non-numerical, unstructured data types requires methods of indexing, searching, and theorizing. Qualitative research rarely deals with a fixed mass of previously collected data that often needs to be altered and enriched with rich statistics built from observations, interviews, literature and other research events. Data sources change (for example, field recording, tape removal, copying), and a variety of formats (such as text, images, tapes, movies). Techniques include statistics and linking ideas in multiple ways, searching and exploring data models and ideas. As such, Nvivo is designed to eliminate rigid divisions between "data" and "explanations." It offers a variety of methods for linking parts of a research project, combining reflection and statistical data.
